The Root Well

A Community Initiative of Harmony Roots

Our Commitment

The Root Well is a growing non-profit initiative focused on mental health equity, water justice, and community-centered healing. Rooted in cultural and global awareness, this work centers people and communities who are most impacted by systemic inequity, and are the least resourced.

The Vision:
Healing should be accessible, collective, culturally rooted, and grounded in dignity.

Our Pillars

Mental Health Equity design

01

Expanding access to emotional and therapeutic support for underserved and marginalized communities through affordable care, culturally-informed services, training, and community education.

02

Advocating for clean, safe water access as an essential public health and mental health issue through research, partnerships, micro-grants, and future community-level water restoration support.

Water Rights design
Community Healing design

03

Honoring ancestral wisdom, creativity, cultural traditions, and collective healing practices that help communities thrive beyond individual treatment models.

04

Across every pillar, we use storytelling and research as vehicles for:

  • Restoring voice

  • Documenting lived experience

  • Elevating community knowledge

  • Shifting public understanding

  • Informing policy and advocacy

Storytelling and research are not separate programs—they are methods woven through everything we do.

What This Looks Like (Now + Future)

The Root Well is currently in an emerging stage. We are building our foundation, partnerships, and future capacity. Over time, this initiative will develop programs connected to each pillar presented above, such as:

  • Low-to-no-cost therapeutic services

  • Community workshops

  • Advocacy projects

  • Research collaborations

  • Micro-grant opportunities

  • International clean water support

These initiatives will grow slowly and intentionally as the non-profit structure develops.

Why This Matters

Healing is not separate from justice.

Community care is not separate from mental health.

Water is not separate from survival.

This work is about restoring what nourishes us emotionally, culturally, and collectively.

Coming Soon

As this initiative grows, more information, opportunities, and collaborative projects will be shared here. If you would like to follow this development or explore future partnership, you are encouraged to reach out.

This work is unfolding and becoming.
